PBVS runs successful state and national events

The PBVS Crew have once again been spreading their wings this past month,  branching out into running events.  On March 12 the boys ran the Tertiary Sports WA University Games Beach Volleyball Tournament at City Beach.  Despite 40+ degree heat the tournament was of high quality with the honours spread across the universities with Notre Dame taking home the Men and Edith Cowan taking home the Women.  Then the next week saw the boys run the beach volleyball for the Australian Tax Office Sports Week down at Scarborough.  It was a fun week with teams from Adelaide, Canberra, Queensland, Newcastle, Melbourne and Perth all competing with one of the Queensland teams eventually winning the week.  Both events were a lot fun and it is great to see so many people getting out on the beach and enjoying this game of ours.

PBVS Coaches heading for higher honours

PBVS coaches Marty Suan and Adrian Lee are both set to represent PBVS at national and international levels this month.  Marty Suan has been asked back as a coach to the upcoming AIS Slection camp for this years Junior and Youth World Championship.  He will be joined there by PBVS athletes Max Staples, Sam Kingston, Cole Durant and Blake Borrett who will all be vying for selection for the World Championship teams.  Best of luck boys and we hope all your hard work on the sand gets rewarded.

Another of the PBVS Coaches Adrian Lee will be heading off this month too.  Adrian has been selected with partner Aaron Crook (Aaron is former WA athlete who now trains in Manly) to represent Australia in an upcoming Asian Tour event in Indonesia.  Best of luck AJ and Aaron, will be good to see PBVS represented all around the world this coming month.
